On this page you will find most information about our academy in the form of Frequently Asked Questions. Should you have any other questions not covered here please do not hesitate in reaching out to Robert Martin via email [email protected]

Who’s the Academy For?

The Elite Squad Academy is for the serious player that has interest in playing at the next level either collegiately or professionally.

Can anyone join the academy?

The academy is very selective in the players we take and represent us. All players 9th-12th grade are eligible to participate but there is an admissions process that we have with each family and staff meetings to ensure it is a good fit for all parties involved.

What ages or age groups are in the Academy?

The Academy is set up for High School athletes (9th -12th grade). However, since covid-19 we have opened roster spots to PostGrad/Gap Year students and have found it to be very successful and a viable option for a lot of players.

What is a typical day for the academy?

On non-game days our players will report at 10 am wrapping up around 3pm. Each night, our daily schedule is updated for each player on what we will be working on towards improvement for the following day. In the fall we workout and train 4 days a week (not including games) and in the spring we will workout twice a week due to the heavy game schedule and practice each day we do not have a game.

When does the Academy year start?

The Academy year will start late August and will go through the end of May.

Who does the Academy play?

We play against local college programs as well as other Academies in the state of Florida. We are also apart of the NAA Conference (National Academies Association) which is made up of 6 other Academies in the South East. The NAA is home to some of the best and most competitive baseball academies in the nation. Our group (Split Squad) will play over 70 games in and out of conference in the spring.

How many players are accepted into the Academy?

In 2022-2023 season we will be taking 45 players for the calendar year. We have carried more players in 2021 and 2022 but are looking to downsize to put more of a personal touch on development.

Does the Academy help in the recruiting process?

Absolutely, we pride ourselves on development and college placement. Since we have started our academy, each player that has graduated has had the opportunity to play collegiately.
