The 15u Elite Squad was ready for the challenge their first day ever playing in the WWBA National Championship. They would go on to play two games today at the East Cobb Complex. Here are some notes from Perfect Game:

Molina Throws 2-hit Shutout

Anthony Molina (2015, FL) threw a two hitter without allowing a single run to cross the plate to help the SF Elite Squad 15u defeat the St. Louis Gamers 15u Gray 12-0. Molina’s smooth, online delivery allowed him to throw an explosive, overpowering fastball which peaked at 88 mph.

Chayce Eldon (2015, West Broward, Pembroke Pines, FL) went 2-2 with 2 RBI and three runs scored. Eldon also had a chance to show off his speed by stealing a base.

 

SF Elite has Huge Night, Beat Richmond Braves

SF Elite Squad 15U scored 9 runs in the 5th inning to go ahead and beat the Richmond Braves 2015 American 16-4.

2015 Chayce Eldon (Pembroke Pines, FL, West Broward HS) went 3-4 with 3 RBI’s and a double for SF Elite, and 2015 James Buckley (Coconut Creek, FL, Coral Springs Christian HS) went 1-4 with an RBI and a double. Eldon showed quick bat, compact swing, good bat speed and rotational swinging. 2015 Nathan Pawelczyk (Pompano Beach, FL, Cardinal Gibbons HS) went 1-2 with an RBI and a double and 2015 Brandon Cabrera (Davie, FL, Archbishop HS) went 1-3 with 2 RBI’s and a double. Pawelczyk showed a fluid stoke, good bat speed, good extension, aggressive hitting, live bat and gap power.

The list continues for SF Elite as 2015 Dalton Brockman (Pembroke Pines, FL, West Broward HS) went 2-3 with 2 RBI’s and a triple and 2015 Andrew English (Fort Lauderdale, FL, American Heritage HS) went 1-3 with 2 RBI’s. Brockman stayed inside the ball well and is a linedrive contact hitter. English showed a compact swing, raw power and live bat.

2015 Jordan Spicer (Pembroke Pines, FL, Chaminade HS) pitched 2 innings for SF Elite, peaking his fastball at 82mph. 2015 Christian Dearman (Pembroke Pines, FL, West Broward HS) pitched 3 innings, allowing 2 hits and no runs while peaking his fastball at 78mph. Spicer showed solid arm action, good extension out front, good follow through, good hip rotation, smooth delivery, and sound mechanics.
