2017 infielder Mark Vientos has committed to The University of Miami!!!
Mark is in his first season playing with Elite Squad. This past summer Mark played for our 15u Prime team coached by Onel Garcia. This is where he was seen both by the University of Miami and by USA Baseball. From the USA Baseball 15u East Championship Tournament, Mark was amongst 40 players selected and invited to the Team USA 15u Trials. The trails are held in Cary, North Carolina. Those 40 players compete over a week period for the final 20 spots to represent the USA. Mark and Elite Squad teammate were amongst those chosen!
Mark and his athletic ability makes it easy for him to stand out amongst the others. Mark is a smooth fielding 6’2 MIF that can hit for both power and avg. He also shows some very good speed for a player his size and strength. We are very much looking forward to having mark with us the next two years.
